Why this exists
Bible stories for children tend to arrive in one of two forms: a heavy old translation that loses a five-year-old by the second sentence, or a version so simplified that the story disappears entirely. We wanted something in between.
How we choose stories
We start with the ones people actually ask for — the stories most likely to come up at bedtime, in assembly, or in a Sunday class. Creation, the ark, the giant, the manger, the empty tomb. A new story is added each week.
What we do not do
We do not run adverts, sell anything, ask for donations, or collect information about anybody who visits. There is nothing to sign up for and no account to make. Read what you like and print what you need.
Denomination
The retellings stay close to the shape of the text and avoid taking sides on questions that different traditions answer differently. Where a story is read differently by different groups, the teacher notes mention it rather than picking for you.
